Hawks Cay Resort is located 90 miles south of Miami on the island of Duck Key. The 60-acre resort is 11 miles from Sombrero Country Club and 13 miles from Pigeon Key.

The hotel can arrange transportation from Marathon Airport, 10 miles from the hotel. A tram service links various parts of the resort and the hotel rents bikes to visiting guests.

Hawks Cay Resort faces an 85-slip marina complete with a well-stocked convenience store, fresh water hook-ups and fuel. Outdoor restaurants like Cantina and Indies Grill offer Caribbean-inspired cuisine and seafood specialties. The Palm Terrace presents gourmet breakfasts each morning complete with gourmet omelets and fresh breads.
Swimming options include an adults-only pool, a family pool and a saltwater lagoon.

Charter fishing excursions from the hotel's marina offer some of the world's best big-game fishing. Marlin, wahoo and tuna are plentiful, and the resort's record sailfish catch weighed in at 83 pounds.

Numerous activities are available for kids at Hawk's Cay Resort, namely an air-conditioned clubhouse with supervised children's programs and a teen center with game tables and a snack bar.

The resort also offers beach volleyball courts, a basketball court and a video-game room.

 
The Hawk's Cay Resort offers a health spa with massages and beauty treatments. Menu items include seaweed wraps and moisturizing facials. The health spa also has a sauna and steam rooms. The fitness room provides cardio and weight machines.

Attractions:

Interact directly with the dolphins for 25 minutes in the saltwater lagoon as skilled trainers guide this 45-minute program. Participants must be 54 inches (138 cm) or taller. Participants must be able to read, speak, and understand English. For their safety, pregnant guests are not allowed to participate. Designed as an interactive encounter, participants will not swim with the dolphins. Hawk's Cay guest, $100 Non-resort guest, $110 All rates subject to change. Indies Grille - Takeout salads, sandwiches, smoothies, and tropical drinks. Shaded picnic-table seating next to children's pool. Open for lunch and dinner.
Truman's Lounge - Adjacent to WatersEdge in the marina. Live music for dancing nightly. Open evenings until late night.
