This hotel close to Sand Key Park faces the Gulf of Mexico from 10 acres of gorgeous white-sand beach, past the park and across a bridge from Clearwater Beach. Pier 60 is six miles away.

Rusty’s - Casual elegance with international specialties and Florida favorites, such as mustard-crusted salmon, lamb shank, or lollipop pork chop (caramelized shallots, balsamic demi-glacé, and fruit salsa), along with seafood, steaks, pasta, and vegetarian selections. The menu also includes appetizers such as fois gras, crab cakes, and shrimp cocktail. Breakfast and dinner.

Island Grill - Light fare, including shrimp scampi, vegetarian quesadilla, or the guilt-free burger (char-grilled burger with grilled tomato, salsa, cottage cheese, and chipotle tortilla). Open for lunch and dinner.

 

Recreation

 

The resort has an adult splash pool, heated in the cooler months; a children’s wading pool and playground offer diversions for the little ones. A staffed fitness center on the ninth floor (surcharge) has several treadmills, and cardio and strength-training equipment, as well as large windows overlooking the Gulf of Mexico. Two massage rooms and a sauna are located in each of the locker rooms.

An on-site tennis complex has three lighted, all-weather courts. The resort’s tennis program accommodates players of all levels, with a daily schedule of clinics and teaching programs, twice-weekly round robins, and a player matching service.

 

Dolphins can be seen from the property or by taking commercial dolphin watching boat excursions.
